In the monastery, liturgy becomes life.  St. Clare, in leaving all material wealth behind, was able to enter most fully into the wealth which is Christ and into the treasury of grace which is the liturgical life of His Church.

This is the inheritance which the Seraphic Mother has left her spiritual daughters, whose enclosed contemplative vocation dedicates them in a particularly intense way to a life of prayer and liturgical worship.

For the Poor Clare Nun, life is Christ, revolving in a steadily ascending circle of praise and work, worship and prayer until its final consummation in the eternal liturgy of heaven.  Thus, the best sharing about the Poor Clare life springs from the seeds of grace which the Lord lavishly scatters in the great field of liturgical prayer.

By their fruits you shall know them, Christ declared.  We hope that by the simple “fruits” presented here you will come to know and appreciate our Poor Clare vocation and, in your own way, enter into its rich heritage of prayer, praise and Gospel spirituality.
