“Dear Sister, what do you ask
of God and His Church?”
“I ask for God’s merciful love and a share in the life of this religious community of Poor Clares.”
All the saints rejoice with Christ;
robed in white garments,
they follow the Lamb
wherever He goes.
-Antiphon for the Feast of All Saints of the Seraphic Order -
On November 29, 2022,
the Feast of All Saints
of the Seraphic Order,
our novice professed her simple vows,
promising to observe
the same Gospel Form of Life
which has been the path to sanctity
for countless Franciscans
over the past 800 years.
“I vow to God, before the witness of the Blessed Virgin Mary, our Father Saint Francis, our Mother Saint Clare and all the saints….”
“O God… who have promised to Your faithful the garment of salvation and endless bliss, we ask You graciously to bless this veil, the emblem of lowliness of heart in consecration to Christ and a visible mark of our Sister’s holy purpose…”.
“We invoke Your loving support, holy Lord, almighty Father, eternal God, for Sister …. We ask You to join her to those You have chosen, who follow the Lamb wherever He goes, and to keep her unspotted to the end.”
“God has chosen and selected her.
He makes her dwell in His tabernacle.”
The radiant bride joins our other junior Sisters as they journey together in the footsteps of Saints Francis and Clare.
